Where Reality Meets Rhapsody

Youngster Tiffany Evans (of Star Search and Diary of a Mad Black Woman fame) recently spoke out about Rihanna’s new single Russian Roulette and how it relates to the foolishness that has become of the music industry.  Evidently, it pissed some folks off, of course.  That always happens when people speak the truth!  If people would stop worshipping celebrities and get back to looking up to parents, teachers and other actual role models, they too will be able to see her point.  Here’s what she had to say on Twitter:

Russian Roulette= Suicidal Rate gon sky rocket!  You gotta watch what u say. Because there are a lot of weak people in the world. They are susceptible to anything so anything you say or do some people actually do listen. So make sure its nothing bad. Its okay to be deep, but not murder deep. Man! I really wish I could tell you guys what the industry really is and what stars are apart of destroying this world. The stars who worship satan, and those who have killed to get the respect they have now. You’d be verrrry surprise. Some of your favorite people pretend to worship God but they only do that to save face. Or seem innocent.  Satan was head of music in heaven. He uses influential people…to help influence the world. Think about that. Once u make a certain amount of money. Just know that that’s when they ask u to join. To get in you have accept the beast, worship. Once you join they assist u with ur career.make u huge.only if u agree and obey to destroy Gods word.and his children.  Ppl listen and pay attention. Its a war going on right now between Good and Evil. Evil will rule this world for a min. The people that have this power are the people that RULE the whole world. I’m done I won’t say anymore before I get in trouble.

Is she lying though?  No!  She’s telling the real as far as I’m concerned.  I called Hollywood as soon as I heard that dumb ass song and said “that shit is dark…like kill yourself after you hear it dark”!  I’m not saying that artists shouldn’t branch out and talk about real things, but know your place.  Nobody wants to hear life lessons from Rihanna nor should they.  They wanna drop it and pop it to her music, nothing more!  Tiffany is right.  Artists need to be conscious of what the fuck they’re putting out their for their particular audience to consume!

All these fake ass gay straight men in the industry praising God when they when BET Awards, but won for writing a song talking about pussy, dicks and killlin!  Um, okay.  People are just mad that  teenie bopper is spittin game.  Everyone knows that children tell it straight.

Stay off that bandwagon ya’ll and think for yourselves!  Tell us what you think about Tiffany’s tweets!

  1. I’m glad she had the cahoonas to do it! I haven’t heard the song, and don’t plan on listening to it. This type of thing has been going on since forever with ppl using lyrics to songs as messages sublimely or otherwise, like the psycho Charles Manson using the Beatles White album as a guide to start a race war, to the most recent Super attention media whore Tila Tequila threatening suicide on twitter and not discouraging ppl following her to not follow her path, ppl were replying if you do then I will too, and this bitch only re-tweeted their replies as if to say yeah these ppl really love me, look what they’re willing to do smh at any and everyone in this industry that doesn’t use the platform given to them to be positive, if you want to make music for yourself then keep it to yourself

  2. Preach Lorri! I absolutely agree. Shit is dangerous. It would be great if it were back in the day when people raised their kids right and we knew that music was only for entertainment. Shit ain’t like that anymore. Whether people wannabe role models is irrelevant; they are now if they’re famous! Folks laugh at Will Smith for being corny, but he still moved units without cussin or talking about killin himself or anyone else!

  3. I’m glad she had the guts to speak out about this, I haven’t heard the song and don’t plan on listening to it. This has been going on since forever,be it sublimely or otherwise from crazy ass Charles Manson using The Beatles White Album to start a race war by way of murdering ppl to most recently fame whore Tila Tequila blatantly threatening suicide on twitter and not discouraging her followers not to follow suit, yet just re-tweeting their replies vowing to take their own lives as if to show off her power, smdh at anyone in this industry that’s given a platform to reach a multitude of ppl and do it positively. If you want to make music for yourself then keep it to yourself!

  4. I don’t think anyone needed this song to learn how to commit suicide. I bet all the people complaining about the lyrics are the same that will dance to misogynistic lyrics at the club.

  5. Joe, you make a good point. However, what about younger and/or plain ignorant people who are impressionable? You don’t think there’s any sort of responsibility there?

As far as dancing to misogynistic lyrics in the club, I’m guilty! However, I also realize that both are nothing more than music meant for entertainment. You and I both know everyone is not that smart…and I talk about crazy ass artists who make pop, lock and drop it music, too LOL! – V

  6. That’s what the devil worshippers want…they WANT the youth to kill themselves…Trust if anyone takes their life behind the song, Rihanna’s camp will rejoice. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. I just hope she wakes up before she burns in everlasting flames!! (Hell!!)

  7. Exactly! I seriously hope the families of anyone who loses someone, in their minds, behind this song aren’t quiet about it. Don’t get me wrong, I realize that if someone kills themselves they were sick/depressed long before Rihanna recorded a damn song. But you just don’t put shit out there like that if you ask me! To me, that’s evil as fuck! Ummm ummmm, I don’t fool with shit like that. – V

  8. You made a great point when you said, “they were sick/depressed long before…”
What I say is, Do not support what does not support you because it will only take you down! That music doesn’t support me or the general population including whoever listens to it so they need to stop listening!
